If plan to come here and purchase things, the most important thing to bring is money. Most suppliers dont accept any foreign credit-cards but only domestic bank card which means that you will have to pay in cash. The easiest way around this is simply letting us handle the purchases for you. You can simply transfer any currency to our bank account and we can use domestic bank cards to pay for everything, but if you want to pay by yourself, this is what you will have to consider:
You can bring a maximum of 20,000 RMB into China or the equivalent of 5,000 USD in any other foreign currency. You can also withdraw money from the ATMs here, but there is of course a limit to how much you can withdraw each time and each day. The one time withdrawal limit depends on which branch the ATM is, but it can be between 1,000-2,500 RMB per time and the daily limit depends on your bank. There will also be an extra fee that you have to pay each time you withdraw money. This fee depends on what country you are from and what bank you are using, but it is usually somewhere between 20-40 RMB per one time withdrawal. Not all ATMs accept foreign cards. There are currently 7 credit cards accepted in China: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, JCB, Federal and Million. There are pictures of the credit cards supported on the ATM machines.
Finding an ATM machine that works with foreign cards in some of the less modern wholesale markets is not always an easy task, so it is always a good idea to make sure you got the cash BEFORE you arrive at the market.
